I usually leave contemporary film stuff to my sister's most capable blog, however this was one issue I found intriguing.

Here, then, are the most celebrated actors/actresses who have never gotten an Oscar. Not the best actors/actresses who never got an Oscar - but those who have won the most awards, and/or gotten the most nominations without winning.

How it works – winning any of the major awards (Grammy, Emmy, Tony, Golden Globe, SAG, Cannes) = 1 Oscar nom, most noms wins. Any award is worth more than a nom in the ranking.

Special recognitions:

KC Honors = 10 noms

MT Award = 5 noms

SAG Lifetime = 5 noms

If an actor ever got an Oscar  for anything (Honorary, Producing, whatever) they are not eligible to be on the list.
